きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅ【ゆめのはじまりんりん】 English translation lyrics (+ romaji)

i connect with this song on so many levels

今まで色んなほんといい思い出たち
トランクに押し込み忘れはしないよ
これから未来は自分次第なのでしょ
わくわくの切符を買いに行くよ

ima made ironna honto ii omoidetachi
toranku ni oshikomi wasure wa shinai yo
kore kara mirai wa jibun jidai nano desho
waku waku no kippu wo kai ni yuku yo

Up until now, I've had various good memories
I won't forget to close them up in my trunk
From here on, my future is dependent upon myself
I'm going now to buy a ticket of excitement

グッバイティーチャー
マイフレンズ
旅立ちの際のどきどき
すっぱいキャンディーのリップス
知らない都会にご期待
グッバイティーチャー
マイフレンズ
ありがとう勇気ください
僕だけの部屋からゆめがはじまりんりん

goodbye teacher
my friends
tabidachi no sai no dokidoki
suppai kyandii no rippusu
shiranai tokai ni gokitai
goodbye teacher
my friends
arigatou yuuki kudasai
boku dake no heya kara yume ga hajimarinrin

Goodbye, teacher
My friends
When I depart, my heart will be pounding*
Sour candy lips
I have hopes for an unknown city
Goodbye, teacher
My friends
Thank you, please have courage
From the room that is only mine, my dreams are beginning to ring, ring**

これまで毎日歩いたこの道
しばらく見られないさみしく思うよ
明日に期待と不安を感じて
さよなら必ず叶えたいから

kore made mainichi aruita kono michi
shibaraku mirarenai samishiku omou yo
ashita ni kitai to fuan wo kanjite
sayonara kanarazu kanaetai kara

So far, this road that I've walked on every day
I think I won't be able to see loneliness for a while
I feel the hopes and anxiety for tomorrow
Farewell, because I want to fulfill them by all means***

translation notes:

* "doki doki" literally is the sound of a heart beating. it means she's excited or nervous.

** I'm pretty sure this is a pun. the noun "hajimari" (beginning) comes from the verb "hajimaru" which means to begin, and "rinrin" is the ringing of a bell (rin by itself means bell, actually!) it sounds somewhat similar to English, doesn't it?

*** she does not specify what she wants to "fulfill" or "grant", but in this context I'm pretty sure she is talking about her hopes and dreams
