インカーネイション Incarnation 初音ミク English translation + romaji

one of my favorite (and first!) songs featuring 初音ミク by one of my favorite vocaloid artists out there, HanasoumenP. also, this song can be found on iTunes. enjoy!

誰にも届かない 我がままな願いを
小さな身体で 守り続けている
いずれ忘れられて 消されてしまうなら
今だけこのまま 夢を見させていて ああ

dare ni mo todokanai wagamama na negai wo
chiisana karada de mamori tsudzuketeiru
izure wasurerarete kesarete shimau nara
ima dake kono mama yume wo misaseteite aa

Selfish wishes won't reach anyone
I continue to protect them inside this small body
If at some point you forget and extinguish it
Right now, as it is, let me see the dream, ah

闇に惑いながら ひとつだけ気づいた
足踏みしてても 奇跡は起きないと
迷いを振り切って 走り出してみれば
行き着く明日は 色鮮やかになるかな

yami ni madoinagara hitotsu dake kidzuita
ashibumi shitetemo kiseki wa okinai to
mayoi wo furikitte hashiridashite mireba
yukitsuku ashita wa iro azayaka ni naru ka na

While being puzzled by the darkness, I realized only one thing
That even if I keep stepping on, the miracle will not wake
If you shake off the confusion and begin to run,
Will the arriving tomorrow turn into a vivid color?

次元を越え インカーネイションして
あなたに会いにいこう
どうしてだろう 未知の世界さえ
不思議と怖くない

jigen wo koe, inkaaneeshon shite
anata ni ai ni ikou
doushite darou michi no sekai sae
fushigi to kowakunai

Crossing over dimensions, incarnation*
I'll go to meet you
Why is it that even worlds that are not yet known
are not afraid of wonders?

子どものように 泣いてばかりいた
昨日を脱ぎ捨てて
生まれ変わる 光をまとった
新しい自分へと

kodomo no you ni naite bakari ita
kinou wo nugisutete
umarekawaru hikari wo matotta
atarashii jibun he to

Like a child, all I did was cry
Throw away yesterday
Being born again, I wore light
I'll go to my new self

目を閉じても手をつなげるほど
近くに寄り添って
未来を行く二人の姿を
確かにしたいんだ

me wo tojitemo te wo tsunageru hodo
chikaku ni yorisotte
mirai wo yuku futari no sugata wo
tashika ni shitainda

Even if I close my eyes, connecting hands
I'll draw near
The figure of us two heading for our future
I certainly want to do that

translation notes:

* this is a weird sentence to translate because it's using an english word (incarnation) and adding "shite" onto the end, which is a suru verb. so literally it kind of means "doing incarnation". but in english we don't use incarnation as a verb, so it sounds kinda awkward!! I'm safely assuming she's meaning to say that she's "incarnating" herself (or something else, what it is that is being "incarnated" is not specified) but i can't be sure.

** since no kanji was used for this verb (which i am not familiar with) I looked it up in a dictionary. "matou" means to wear, put on, be clad in, etc etc. she's wearing light, pretty much.
