KANA-BOON / ないものねだり "asking for too much" English translation + romaji

旋律は耳に残るままで訳してみた

いつだってワガママばっかで 子供みたいね
君だってないものねだり 何が欲しいの?教えて

itsudatte wagamama bakka de kodomo mitai ne
kimi datte naimono nedari nani ga hoshii no? oshiete

you've* always been nothing but selfish, haven't you? just like a child
and as for you, you ask for too much, what do you want? tell me

あっち見たりそっちを見たり 美人が好きなのね
君だってさっきのカフェの店員さんがタイプでしょ?答えて

acchi mitari socchi wo mitari bijin ga suki na no ne
kimi datte sakki no kafe no ten'in san ga taipu desho? kotaete

you look this and that way, you like beautiful girls, huh?
and as for you, the waiter from that cafe a while ago might be more your type, right? answer me

yurayura yurayura kimi no kokoro, hanare banare
yurayura yurayura futari no koi wa chuu ni matteiku
yurayura yurayura watage mitai ni yureteru

swaying slowly, my swaying heart, blown by the wind
swaying slowly, your swaying heart, scattered
swaying, swaying, our love goes to dance up in space
swaying, swaying, swaying like downy fluff

swaying slowly, my swaying heart, being rained on
swaying slowly, your swaying heart, scattered
swaying, swaying, our love goes to dance up in space
swaying, swaying, burning up like tobacco

ゆらゆらゆらゆら君の心 未来に消えて

swaying slowly, your swaying heart with***

* the lyrics don't explicitly say "you" or refer to a "you" in this sentence, so I'm just making an assumption.

** のに is a tricky thing to translate because it means different things depending on the context, but in this case it's used to express wistfulness. Like, for example 「晴れて良かったのに」 "it's so sunny out, and yet... (I can't go outside)" or "despite it being so nice out... (I can't go outside and enjoy it)". The speaker does not mention actually wanting to go outside, but uses のに to express their feelings.

*** could also be translated as "and" but "with" is also a possible translation. I think と used in this sense is for listing things.
